He believes in building a foundation of awareness regarding one’s past journey as well as clear identification of core values, strengths, and intrinsic motivations. Coaching creates a space for this awareness and inquiry. He leverages evidence-based techniques and frameworks from psychology and neuroscience, including self-determination theory, appreciative inquiry, intentional change theory, immunity to change, emotional agility, mindfulness based cognitive therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, mindful self-compassion, and dialectics, among others. Additionally, Dr. Lala leverages the latest findings in mind-body medicine and believes that one’s physical well-being and habits crucially affect every client’s ability to grow and change internally.
